Greetings! The DC Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation is proud to announce the FY12 One City Summer Fun grant competition. This grant competition invites high performing youth development ogranizations in Washington DC that serve youth 5-24 with a focus on programing that has proven success in the developmental outcome areas of Belonging and Membership and Safety and Structure to apply for summer funding. This grant competition will take a close look on the integration of summer learning loss as well and innovative and proven successful youth development programming. The Trust seeks to fund non-profit organizations that work with the District's youth to provide high quality programs that will provide purposeful and developmentally appropriate opportunities to help the District’s children and youth meet developmental outcomes and to prevent summer learning loss (see the National Summer Learning Association website www.nsla.org for more information regarding this topic ).
